Embracing the formality of the existing spaces, harnessing the natural light to create a warm and comfortable home.

This project is the renovation of an existing heritage property in Sydney’s East to create a dream home for our clients and their Cavoodle Ernie and cat Cindy. When Studio Senior first visited the house, we were struck by how the house was flooded with natural light which highlighted the many features of its heritage details which had been retained. Embracing the formality of the existing space and harnessing the natural light. When new elements were introduced, all built-in elements were kept formal in keeping with the existing building and then we overlayed this with a playful relaxed vibe in furniture and art, the walls are kept neutral, and pops of colour are introduced in the soft furnishing
